The Dr. B Friday Challenges Showdown: Who can crack the code?
The challenges available in this website are designed to give you the perfect opportunity to practice everything we covered in class and put your skills to the test. Each task will come with a code chunk you can use to write and test your code, but the real magic happens when you solve the problem and submit your answer. Be sure to paste your code into the designated form area and include your personal information at the bottom of each set of challenges so I know who’s participating. This is your chance to reinforce your learning in a fun and competitive environment!
The stakes are high—only the first person to post the correct solution to each challenge will be declared the winner. And, of course, there are some great rewards on the line! The fastest solver will earn not only extra Others learning points but also an italian espresso (kindly offered and made by Dr. B) to fuel your future coding endeavors. However, it’s not just about being the first; anyone who submits a solution, whether it’s perfect or not, will also receive Others learning points. This is your moment to shine and show off what you’ve learned, and the challenges will remain open every week until Monday at midnight. Past the deadline you can still use them to practice but you will not receive any of the above benefits.
Remember, the goal is progress, not perfection, and trying to attempt all of them will help sharpen your skills. Coding is not only a valuable tool for problem-solving, but it can also be a lot of fun when you start seeing the results of your hard work.
